Mark Besh is the Chief Growth Officer for Equality Health, the only integrated health care delivery system dedicated to cultural care and the underserved. With an impressive track record in the healthcare sector, Mark is an expert in building teams, developing strategy, and growing revenue.
In his previous positions, Mark’s focus was on thoughtful and profitable “quality growth,” resulting in remarkable value creation. As Chief Growth Officer at iHealth Technologies, Mark grew revenue from $60 million in 2008 to more than $250 million in 2016 at the time of sale to Advent International. As part of the strategic plan, Advent merged iHealth Technologies with Connolly, which led to the formation of Cotiviti, a publicly traded company.
Previously, he was Chief Growth Officer at Schaller Anderson Inc. in 2003, paving the way to complete a sale to Aetna in July 2007. This created a platform for Aetna to be a key player in the Managed Medicaid market.
In addition to his healthcare experience, Mark spent eight years working in the institutional investment business, again assuming responsibility for leading the growth engine of the company. He joined Pacific Income Advisors, a boutique investment firm located in Santa Monica in 1995 with assets under management of $900 million. Utilizing his strategy and execution the firm expanded its product portfolio, ultimately realizing $5 billion+ in AUM during his tenure. Through Mark’s stewardship, it also partnered with an investment banking firm to raise and close a small private equity fund.
Mark’s an Arizona native, and a graduate of the University of Arizona. His involvement with charitable organizations is focused on improving the lives of children. He’s a proud board member of the Phoenix Boys and Girls Club and is involved with both Dad’s Clubs at Xavier College Preparatory and Brophy College Preparatory.
